Christmas in the Countryside

Tis the season for countryside comforts and Communal Feasts in The  Summerhouse Dining Room. There’s no better way to welcome the holidays than to delve into a rustic Communal meal with great company.

Served communal style with all the festive trimmings and condiments, our Chirstmas Eve and Christmas Day spread includes must-haves such as the Whole Roasted Turkey with Pistachio and Bacon Stuffing, served with Cranberry sauce, and the Honey Baked Bone-in Ham with Apple sauce. Adding to the festive mains are the Summerhouse favourites of Whole Baked Snapper with Fennel and Orange, and the 100 Hr Mayura Wagyu Brisket in Burgundy jus with Grain mustard.  A selection of delectable starters including Ocean Trout Gravadlax, Pan-seared scallop and Country foie gras and pork pate kick off the feast, which is nicely rounded off with a scrumptious Christmas Pudding with Nutmeg Ice Cream and Mulled Wine Berries.

Wildseed Café will be offering daily Christmas specials from the 1st til the 26th of December. Try our festive Turkey Palla Pizza and our Turkey Pastrami Croissant. Other festive treats include the Logcakes and our Iced Peppermint Mocha.

For a heartier fare, Wildseed Bistro is serving up a whole Ham Hock for a party of 3.  The meat is marinated in Mediterranean spices and slow cook for 24 hrs, accompanied with gremolata in chick peas and red lentil stew.  For those who prefer the traditional game, there is also the Grilled Turkey legs, marinated with garlic sautéed bok choy, served with pickled daikon and long cabbage, Mediterranean spicy potato in mushroom and pecorino fondue.
